Nola Mackay has been in the fashion industry since the early ‘80’s.

Her journey began in retail, working for both Myer and David Jones, where she developed her love of fashion.

Her next step was to join Prue Acton in a duel role of Retail and Victorian Wholesale Manager, and ultimately becoming the General Manager.

After Prue retired, Nola was sought by many prestigious designers to sell their ranges Nationally.

It was at this time that she formed the company Mackay Consultancy

By 1995, Nola saw a gap in the market for tailored shirts, so with the encouragement of her numerous clients, she started her own range of shirts, under the label 'Mackay' This quickly developed into designing 2 complete collections per year, which she sold Nationally for 10 years.

Her progression into designing for restaurants began when an employee at a winery bought a ‘Mackay’ shirt. The staff loved it, and wanted it for their uniform. Other venues began showing interest, hence the birth of the next phase of her business life.

Nola is thoroughly enjoying the diversity and challenge of creating uniforms from the very casual, to very formal restaurants.
